The school year Prayer Journey: Planting seeds, Trusting God for the harvest

We prepared the ground. Now we keep praying. This journey is an invitation for parents, teachers, staff, families, churches, and communities to faithfully cover our schools in prayer all year long. We are planting seeds of love, wisdom, truth, kindness, faith, and hope, and watering those seeds through consistent prayer. Even when we cannot see what is happening beneath the surface, we trust God with the growth. This is about coming together each week to pray for the people who walk our hallways, sit in our classrooms, ride our buses, lead our schools, and raise our children. Small prayers. Faithful prayers. Week after week. Because we believe God is working in places we cannot see yet and we are trusting him for the harvest.

Who is this Journey for?

The school year prayer journey is for parents, grandparents, teachers, school staff, pastors, churches, students, and anyone who has a heart for our kids and our schools. It is especially for the teacher who is already tired, the parent wondering how to help their child, the student trying to find their place, the staff member carrying more than anyone realizes, and the person who may not work in a school at all but knows that prayer can make a difference. You do not have to have a child in school or work in education to join us. If you care about this generation, there is a place for you in this prayer journey.

What to Expect from the Journey

The school year prayer journey is a 35-week commitment to cover our students, teachers, staff, families, and schools in prayer throughout the entire school year. Each Sunday, a new prayer focus is shared along with scripture and specific ways to pray for our school community. We will move through seasons of planting seeds, watering them in prayer, growing deep roots, living out our faith, bearing fruit, and finally celebrating the harvest. There is nothing to sign up for and no complicated study to follow. Simply come back each week, pray wherever you are, and invite others to pray with you. One week. One prayer focus. One school year covered in prayer.
