School Year Prayer Journey - Week 1: LOVE
We prepared the ground.
Now it's time to start planting.
For the next 35 weeks, we're going to continue covering our schools in prayer every Monday. And I can't think of a better seed to plant first than love.
📖 "Let all that you do be done in love." 1 Corinthians 16:14
School brings together so many different people, personalities, backgrounds, struggles, and stories. We may never know what the person sitting beside us, walking through our hallway, or stepping onto our bus is carrying.
But we can choose love.
🍎 Teachers & Staff
Pray that love would shape the way we teach, correct, encourage, lead, and respond-even on the difficult days. Ask God to help us see the person before we see the behavior.
🎒 Students
Pray that our kids would know they are loved and valued. Pray that they would also have the courage to show love-to the new kid, the lonely kid, the difficult kid, and the kid who doesn't look, think, or act like them.
🏡 Parents & Families
Pray that love would begin at home. Ask God to give families patience in the rushed mornings, grace during homework battles, encouragement after difficult days, and homes where children know they are safe and loved.
And let's pray for our entire school communities-that our classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, buses, ball fields, offices, and homes would be places where the love of Jesus can be seen in the way we treat one another.
We may not always see immediately what God is doing.
That's okay.
Our job is to faithfully plant. God is responsible for the growth. 🌱
Lord, let LOVE be one of the first seeds we plant this school year.
