Hidden Not Absent
Before There Was Esther
Esther reminds us that God does not always move in loud, miraculous ways. Sometimes there is no burning bush or audible voice, yet in the quiet moments, ordinary decisions, and unexpected timing, His hand is carefully weaving every single thread together. Even when God feels hidden, He is never absent.
God's name is never mentioned in the book of Esther, yet His fingerprints are everywhere. A queen makes a choice, a young orphan woman enters a palace, a faithful man goes unnoticed, and a king experiences a sleepless night. Seemingly disconnected moments quietly align to accomplish redemption. Silence does not mean abandonment; when you cannot trace His hand, you can always trust His heart.

We often think we need to be the heroes of our own stories, but we are simply invited to be faithful when our turn comes. Looking back on our own lives, the closed doors, detours, delays, and quiet seasons often reveal God was setting up pieces we could not see yet. You do not have to understand the ending while you are still standing in the middle of the chapter.
