What a beautiful Easter Sunday. Today’s reading finds us in Deuteronomy chapters 30-31. And I love how the headings on my Bible app go along so perfectly with Today’s Chapters.
Deuteronomy 29 is a hard chapter, but it is also a clear one. God lays it all out, blessings and curses, life and death, obedience and disobedience. And what stood out to me is that it was their choice. God wasn't hiding the outcome. He was showing them plainly that the path they chose would determine what followed.

Ok...Before you open your bible and depending on what version you are reading, here's an early warning. Chapter 23 can be a bit shocking in the beginning. How do I know this? Because as I turned to this chapter and began to read, it was a shock to me. My first response was, oh my, how does this pertain to me, to us and Lord help me.
I'm not even gonna pretend that today didn't throw me for a loop.
Don't Carry Fear Into the Battle. In Deuteronomy 19, God is setting up places of safety, cities of refuge. And then in Deuteronomy 20, He's preparing them for war.
Don't bring Egypt into the Promise. That's the what has been going through my mind non stop this week. And I couldn't shake this dream I had a few weeks back.
Today We're reading about Passover and tomorrow is Palm Sunday. I'm just sitting here like, wow God, You really do line things up.
