School Year Prayer Journey - Week 4: KINDNESS
We prepared the ground. Now we keep planting.
We've planted Love, Wisdom, and Truth. This week, we're planting something that seems simple but can completely change someone's day or even their life.
Kindness.
📖 “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” - Ephesians 4:32
Schools are full of people carrying things we can't see.
The student who barely slept last night.
The teacher who is already exhausted.
The child sitting alone.
The parent trying to hold everything together.
The staff member who feels unnoticed.
We don't always know someone's story, but we can choose how we treat them.
🍎 Teachers & Staff
Pray that kindness would be our first response even when patience is running thin. Ask God to help us look beyond behavior, frustration, or attitude and see the person standing in front of us.
🎒 Students
Pray that our kids would notice the person who needs a friend. That they would include instead of exclude, encourage instead of embarrass, and understand that kindness matters just as much online as it does face-to-face.
🏡 Parents & Families
Pray for kindness in our homes, especially during rushed mornings, homework struggles, packed schedules, and tired evenings. May our children learn what kindness looks like because they experience it first from us.
🏫 Our Schools
Pray that kindness becomes part of the culture of our schools, not a poster on a wall or a theme for a week, but simply who we are and how we treat people.
Jesus didn't tell us to love people only when they're easy to love.
So this week, let's pay attention.
Who is sitting alone?
Who needs encouragement?
Who needs someone to listen?
Who needs a little extra grace?
Sometimes the seed God asks us to plant is as simple as noticing someone.
🌱 Lord, plant KINDNESS in our words, our choices, our classrooms, our homes, and our hearts. Help us see people through Your eyes and love them well.
