They had the Lamb. We have Jesus.

Today We're reading about Passover and tomorrow is Palm Sunday. I'm just sitting here like, wow God, You really do line things up.

Moses is taking them back to that night, not just a remember when you left Egypt moment but remember how you got out. Because it wasn't them. It wasn't their strength, it wasn't their plan, they were stuck. And that night, everything came down to one thing, The blood. That's what covered them. That's what saved them. That's what made a way where there wasn't one.

And Moses is telling them, don't forget that. Celebrate it every year.

But for alot of us God brings us out of something, something hard, something messy, something we couldn't fix on our own and then life just keeps moving. We don’t mean to forget, we just don't stay in thar moment very long. We're quick to move on, things get better, we start focusing on what's next and we don't go back and really think about what He actually did.

But reading this today, I had to stop and think about my own life for a second. The things God brought me out of. The places I was stuck. The patterns I couldn't break on my own. And I know that wasn't me. That was God.

And you really can't read this without seeing Jesus all over it. They had the lamb, we have Jesus. They had the blood over the door we're covered by his. And tomorrow, Palm Sunday, He's riding in knowing exactly what He came to do. It's the same story, but for us today, it's finished.

This isn't just something they needed to remember, it's something we need to remember too. I don't ever want to get to a place where I start thinking I got here on my own, or forget what God actually brought me out of.

Moses keeps going, talking about worship and leadership and all of that, but it really just comes back to something simple, don't forget who did it.

I just don't want to lose that. That awareness. That gratitude. That, God You really brought me out kind of feeling.

So today I'm taking the time to think about it all. What has God brought me out of that I haven't really stopped to think about lately? And am I still living like I remember or have I just moved on?

🎯 Day 9 Anchor Scripture

"Remember that you were once slaves"

 Deuteronomy 16:12 (NLT)

Day 9 and this one's simple.

I didn't get myself here.

God did.

And I don't want to forget that.
