A Modern- Ark of Hope Version of 1 Corinthians Chapter 13.
Day 49 of 90 days Through the New Testament
Daily Reading 1 Corinthians 13-16
If I speak with all the right church words, quote Scripture like a pro, and have a platform full of followers, but don't have love...I'm just making noise.
If I can preach, prophesy, and post messages that go viral, but don't truly love people, it's all for nothing.
If I give away my time, my stuff, or even open my home, but do it for recognition instead of compassion...it's still empty.
Love isn't jealous when someone else gets the spotlight. It doesn't post to prove a point or disguise gossip as a "prayer request."
Love doesn't need to shout to be heard or compete to be seen. It doesn't keep a record of who hurt who, or replay old wounds.
Love celebrates when truth wins, not when someone finally gets what they deserve.
It believes the best even when the past gives you every reason not to.
It stands firm when storms come, steady and unshakable.
Prophecies will fade. Sermons will end. Followers will scroll on.
But love, real, Jesus shaped, storm tested love remains.
We only see glimpses of what God is doing right now, but one day, we'll see the whole picture and it will all make sense.
So for now, I anchor myself in what lasts:
⚓ Faith that anchors me when I'm wore out.
💫 Hope that moves me when I'm not sure.
💔 Love that breaks chains and makes me whole again.
And the greatest of these-the one that keeps this whole boat steady-is Love.
