Day 48 of 90 days thru the New Testament
Daily Reading 1 Corinthians 10-12
"Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it." 1 Corinthians 12:27
I've always loved how Paul describes the Church, not as a building, but as a body. Each piece matters. Every heart, every hand, every hidden helper who shows up quietly but faithfully. In chapters 10 through 12, Paul reminds us that we belong to something bigger than ourselves. He warns us not to repeat Israel's mistakes of pride or grumbling (chapter 10), calls us to live for Gods glory in all we do (chapter 11), and then paints this beautiful picture of unity in diversity (chapter 12).
It's easy to compare or feel like your part doesn't matter. Maybe you're the "foot" wishing you were a "hand." But God didn't design the body with extras. You were placed exactly where you are on purpose. Your gifts, your story, your scars, all working together to reveal His glory.
So today, instead of striving to be like someone else, thank God for your role in His body. Use your gift. Love deeply. Serve faithfully. Stay anchored in unity, because when every part does its part, the whole body moves with power.
