No Longer Bound
Day 42 of 90 days thru the New Testament
Daily reading Romans 7–9
Ever feel like you're trying so hard to do what's right, but somehow keep falling short? That's where Paul was in Romans 7 stuck between wanting to do good and feeling chained to his failures. It's that old tug-of-war between striving and surrender.
Jesus didn't come to make us strive harder... He came to set us free.
Paul says we were once bound to the law, to rules, guilt, and trying to earn God's love. But through Christ, those chains broke. We're not tied to our past, our mistakes, or our need to prove ourselves anymore. Grace doesn't shackle , it steadies us.
Then Romans 8 sweeps in like fresh wind....
"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." Whooooooo, feel it.
No condemnation. None!
Not for yesterday, not for the things you wish you could undo. The Spirit moves in and whispers, "You’re free."!!!
And then Romans 9 reminds us that this freedom wasn't random. It didn't just happen. It was God's plan all along. You were chosen, loved, and released on purpose. So let go of the guilt, loosen your grip and let grace carry you.
Because where the Spirit of the Lord is... There is freedom!!!!
