Faith That Speaks, Grace That Grafts, Love That Transforms

Day 43 of of 90 days thru the New Testament

Daily ReadingRomans 10-12

In Romans 10, Paul reminds us that it's not about striving, rules, or getting it all right, it's about believing. "If you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord, you will be saved." I don't know about you, but I can be real good at believing in my heart while my mouth stays quiet out of fear or weariness.

But faith is meant to be spoken! It's meant to be lived out loud. And some days, when I don't feel full of faith, I've learned to let God's Word do the talking. I'll play worship while I'm folding laundry, whisper scripture while I'm driving to work, and pretty soon... hope starts to rise again. Because faith comes by hearing, even if the one hearing it is just me.

Then Romans 11 comes in with this reminder that God's not done with anybody. Paul talks about Israel and how even when they rejected Jesus, He didn't reject them. Instead, He made room for us too , grafted us right into His story like wild branches on a holy tree.

I love that. Because I am that wild branch. I've been the one who didn't quite fit, who thought maybe God had moved on. But His grace said, "Nope, I've still got a place for you." That’s who He is, the God who grafts us right back into His plan when we thought we'd been cut off.

And then Romans 12...whew. That's where it gets real. Paul says, "Offer your body as a living sacrifice." In other words, live your faith out every single day. Don't just believe, be transformed. Don't just talk about love, walk in it.

That chapter gets real....

Bless the ones who hurt you.

Serve when it's inconvenient.

Forgive when it's hard.

Overcome evil with good.

That's the kind of love that changes people, not because it's easy, but because it looks like Jesus. So wherever you find yourself today , maybe you're just trying to believe again, maybe you feel like that wild branch that doesn't quite fit, or maybe you're learning to live your faith out loud remember this...

God's not finished with you.

Faith still speaks.

Grace still grafts.

And love , real, transforming love ,still changes everything.

That's what keeps this little Ark of Hope afloat...not perfection, not performance, but a love that transforms us from the inside out and teaches us to keep building, keep believing, and keep becoming what he has called us to be.
