Day 40 of 90 days in the Word

Daily reading Romans 1-3

We've officially made it to Romans and day 40...Wow. Forty days in the Word and fifty days until we've read the entire New Testament. Almost halfway there! And honestly, I feel a bit like Paul as he wrote to the Christians in Rome. So many of you I haven't met or haven't seen in a long while but I long to. I pray for you daily and have loved walking through the Word together these past forty days.

When Paul wrote to the Romans, he was writing to believers he hadn't yet met but deeply cared for. He longed to visit them, to strengthen their faith, and to be encouraged by theirs. That's exactly how I feel about this journey. We might not sit in the same room or open the same Bible at the same time, but the same Spirit that stirred Paul's heart is stirring ours.

In these first few chapters, Paul reminds us of a big truth, none of us are righteous on our own. Not one. We've all fallen short of God's glory, thats Romans 3:23. That could sound heavy, but it's actually the doorway to hope because when we realize how much we need a Savior, we finally make room for grace.

Romans 3 tells us that we are made right with God through faith in Jesus Christ, not by our works, not by our perfection, not by our performance but by His mercy. That's the heartbeat of this journey. We aren't reading to prove anything. We're reading to know Him. To grow in grace. To let His Word transform us from the inside out. And i believe it already has.

So as we cross this almost halfway mark, I'm reminded that Paul didn't just preach faith he lived it. He kept going even when he hadn't seen the fruit from it yet. And that's what we're doing too. Forty days in, our hearts are being shaped, our minds are being renewed, and our faith is growing stronger with every page.

Let's keep going, friends.

Let's keep building the ark of our faith one plank of Scripture at a time.

Because just like Paul, we're carrying the good news to a world that needs it.

And if you want to meet in person and you're local I'd love to invite you to my house for our 1st Sunday Hope Deck Gathering Bible study Sunday November 2nd. I'd love for you to join us.

"For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes." Romans 1:16
