Luke 11:8 "Because of your shameless persistence..."
I believe that shameless persistence and ridiculous faith go hand in hand.When you read through the Gospels, you see it over and over again, faith so bold, so crazy, it makes no logical sense. But that's the very kind that moves the heart of Jesus.
Think about it... "If I could just touch the hem of His garment, I know I'd be healed." "Jesus, You don't even have to come to my house, just speak the word, and I know my daughter will live." "Let's tear the roof off and lower our friend right in front of Jesus, because we know He can heal him."
And those are just a few. Just in the Gospels alone there are so many more....
That's not quiet, reserved faith. That's ridiculous faith. It's faith that pushes past the crowd, past the opinions, past the fear of looking dumb. It's the kind that refuses to quit, the kind that keeps knocking when everyone else would've walked away or given up.
Shameless persistence says, "I’ll keep praying. "Ridiculous faith says, "I believe You can still do it."And when those two collide, miracles happen!
Jesus isn't moved by our perfection...Nope...He's moved by our persistence and our faith. So don't be afraid to look a little ridiculous today. Keep knocking. Keep believing. Keep trusting that He's not ignoring your prayers. He's preparing your breakthrough.
Faith anchors. Hope moves. Chains break. Keep building that kind of faith. The kind that won't quit.
