Have you ever noticed that when you finally step out for God, things seem to get harder?
You obey. You say yes.You step up. You let go...
And suddenly everything pushes back. It seems like everything that could go wrong just did.
That's exactly what happens in Exodus 5. Moses and Aaron do what God told them to do. They go to Pharaoh. They speak with boldness. And instead of freedom, the situation gets worse. The workload increases. Hope feels crushed. And the Hebrew people turn on Moses, blaming him for everything happening.
So Moses does what most of us would do, he goes back to God and asks why.
“Why did You send me? Why has this only made things worse?”
And God simply says, "Now you will see what I will do."or as i would say..."Watch This !"
In Exodus 6, God reminds Moses who He is.
"I am the Lord. I have heard. I remember. I will act."
But the people still don't believe because they're discouraged and crushed by the hard labor. I think we've all been there a time or too...Crushed by the weight of the struggle and afraid to believe for more. Sometimes obedience makes things harder before it makes them better. Opposition doesn't mean you missed God and delay doesn't mean He has forgotten you.
If you stepped out and things got harder, you're not alone.
If you obeyed and the resistance increased, it doesn't mean you were wrong.
Sometimes God is just setting us up for a “Watch this,” moment! And the story is about to shift.
He's not done yet.
