Two things really stood out to me today.
First...God spoke to Moses. Moses spoke to Aaron. And Aaron spoke to Pharaoh. All because Moses was afraid to speak. Im not trying to discredit or put Moses down, we all have our weaknesses and hangups but if I’m being honest... I think I'd want to be Aaron.
Aaron didn’t hear God’s voice directly in that moment but he trusted that God had spoken. He stepped out in obedience based on someone else's encounter with God. That takes humility. That takes trust. That takes faith that says "Even if I didn’t hear it myself, I believe God is in this."
Sometimes our role isn't to be the one at the burning bush. Sometimes our role is to stand beside someone else and carry the word forward anyway.
The second thing that stood out to me....
The enemy always has a counterfeit. Pharaoh's sorcerers could imitate the miracles at first. Their staffs became snakes too. The water turned. The plagues followed. But only up to a point.
And then Aaron's snake swallowed theirs.
The imitation had limits. God didn't. Eventually even the sorcerers had to admit it
This is the finger of God.
So here's what i want us to get this morning...
Not everything supernatural is from God but what is from God will always outlast, outweigh, and overpower the counterfeit. The enemy can copy. Only God can conquer.
If you're walking in obedience and it feels like the opposition is matching you step for step, don't panic. Counterfeits always get exposed. God's power doesn't need to prove itself. In the end, His authority always speaks louder.
