Learn to Walk in What was Already Spoken Over you.

Good morning friends...

We're in Judges 13 this morning. Today we're introduced to Samson. I love that before he ever did anything right or anything wrong, before the strength, before the failures, before the calling was even visible, before he was born, God had already set him apart.

He wasn’t an accident. He wasn’t an afterthought. He was planned. And not just planned but spoken over.

Samson’s story doesn’t start with him.

It starts with a woman who couldn’t have children that suddenly gets a promise. This should have been our Mothers Day reading right. An angel shows up and says, You’re going to have a son and he’s going to be set apart.

Wow. Before he ever took a breath, Before anyone saw potential, Before he had a chance to mess it up,God had already called it.

And I just sat here for a minute this morning thinking, that’s not just Samson’s story. It’s ours too.

We spend so much of our lives trying to figure out who we are. Trying to become something, Trying to prove we have purpose.

And God is like, I already decided that before you were even born. You don’t accidentally end up with a calling. You don’t randomly stumble into purpose.

                             You were marked.

Set apart doesn’t mean perfect.

(Samson proves that real quick in the chapters ahead.)

It means chosen.

It means intentional.

It means God looked at your life before it even started and said, I’m going to use that.

But before he was even born Samson’s mother had to live differently because of what he carried. As a Mother that really hit me. We carry and nurture the calling before it even comes forth.

The calling on your life will start shaping things before you even fully understand it. There are things God has pulled you away from. Things He’s asked you to lay down. Ways He’s set you apart that didn’t always make sense at the time, But it wasn’t random. It was preparation.

Before the world labeled you...

Before people misunderstood you...

Before you ever questioned your worth...

God already had a plan.

And Not a small one either. A deliverance kind of plan. A purpose that affects other people kind of plan. A “this is bigger than you” kind of plan.

You are not trying to find your purpose. You’re learning to walk in what was already spoken over you.
