Day 6 of our 21 days Thru Deuteronomy...
And today we have a Choice. I like that. Its completely up to us. Moses isn't beating around a bush this morning.( ok I laughed at that for a min, giggled to myself, get it, a bush haha..anyways) Today's Chapters is pretty cut and dry. Moses lays it out real simple for us and the Children of Israel.
He starts by reminding them again, Look at what God has already done.
What you've seen, What you’ve walked through.
What He brought you out of. Many of those there now had seen the miracles, they were too young to be counted but they were there. But their Children weren't and they needed to know too. And I love that he says it, Your own eyes have seen. It isn’t just stories. This isn't something they heard about. This is personal. They were there.
It's a lot easier to trust God when you remember what He's already done in your life. When you've seen his hand on your life. Then he starts talking about the land they’re about to step into And he compares it to Egypt.
Egypt was a place where you had to work for everything. You watered it yourself, you made it happen....But the Promise Land...
👉 God waters it.
👉 God provides.
👉 God sustains it.
And that right there will preach all by itself.
Because it's the difference between:
👉 striving
and
👉 trusting
And then he says it plain and simple. No way around it.
If you obey, There’s blessing.
If you turn away, There’s not.
Pretty simple right? No overcomplicating it.
Just a choice.
I think sometimes we don't like it being that simple. Wait, what....Yep I said it. We say we want simple but when we get it we don't really like it. Because we want to blame circumstances, or people, or timing, when things don't work out....Not ourselves, not the choices we make.
But God keeps bringing it back to this...
👉 What are you choosing?
And I had to pause for a second. Because I can look back and see where God has been faithful. Time and time again. I can see what He's brought me through. I can see His hand on my life. So the question isn't Is God faithful, That's already been answered.
The question is, What am I going to do with that. Am I going to trust Him? Follow Him? Stay aligned with Him? Or slowly drift and do things my own way again?
It really is that simple.
Not easy, but simple.
God is putting it right in front of us and saying, You get to choose.
So today lets ask ourselves...
👉 What am I choosing right now?
In my thoughts.
In my decisions.
In my priorities.
🎯 Today's Anchor
"See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse..."
Deuteronomy 11:26
Day 6
And it really just comes down to this...I've seen what God can do. So now I get to choose how I respond.
It's your Choice. Blessing...or a Curse.
Pretty simple.
