This morning while I was reading Leviticus 5–7, my heart just kept singing that line from We Are Messengers and their song Everything comes alive.... ๐ต My heart is beating to the rhythm of Your grace...I'll be with You in heavenly places...everything comes alive. ๐ต
And that's exactly what these chapters feel like when we dig down deep into it.
There is a Rhythm to what God is teaching them. Not rules or religion. But a Rhythm.
When You Sin... Repent and Restore.. It's A Rhythm...
Leviticus 5 says even if you sin and don't realize it at first, you're still guilty. And when you become aware of it, you deal with it. Sometimes it's not a big sin. It's subtle.
My attitude. My frustration. The pride that slips in. The moment that I start to justify my sin instead of surrendering. And when the Holy Spirit nudges me, I don't want to argue with him I want to align.
Back then, they brought a sacrifice. They confessed their sin and they restored what they damaged plus 20%. I'm so thankful Jesus was the final sacrifice. We don’t bring animals to an altar anymore. His blood was enough.
But repentance is still the rhythm of God's Grace. It's not about shame or fear. It's about our Alignment with him.
๐ต My heart is beating to the rhythm of Your grace... ๐ต
Grace doesn't ignore sin. Grace restores out relationship with him. And when we repent quickly...Everything comes alive again.
Another part of that Rhythm is that When we Serve, we Keep the Fire Burning.
Then God tells the priests, "The fire must never go out." Never! They had to tend it every day. They Removed the ashes, and added wood over and over again. Pay attention to that. That's ministry. That's motherhood. That's leadership. That's faith. It's not sustained by our emotions. It's sustained by a rhythm with him.
Prayer. Obedience. Showing up when it's hard. Staying steady when it feels unseen. Some days the fire feels strong. Some days I feel like I'm just poking at embers that once were aflame. But when I keep tending it, something happens.
๐ต My heart is beating to the rhythm of Your grace ๐ต His Grace and mercy fuels the fire and fans it into flame. And when the fire stays lit, everything comes alive.
And we can't forget the Rhythm of When we are Blessed, we remember to Celebrate and and spend time with him. This one isn't about fixing anything. It's about our gratitude. Its Fellowship with him. Sitting at the table with him. I don’t want to miss these moments.
The joy, The thankfulness, The overwhelming awareness that He's been so good to me. Because if I only focus on repentance and responsibility, I miss communion with him. But when I slow down and say, Thank You, Lord, something shifts.
๐ตI'll be with You in heavenly places ๐ต
That's communion. It's abcloseness and a relationship with him. Its not about striving but about resting in his grace.
And when I live in that rhythm...123, 123, 123, repenting quickly, tending the fire faithfully, celebrating gratefully....
๐ต Everything Comes alive ๐ต
When we sin... We repent and restore.
When we serve ... We keep the fire burning.
When We're blessed... We celebrate and spend time with him.
And when our lives beats to the rhythm of His grace instead of our feelings...
We stay aligned with him.
We stay close to him.
We are alive in him.
And that's what my heart has been singing all morning.
