In the Beginning....In the Beginning.

    Here we are Day 1 of 2026...Starting this year off right in the word and we're literally starting at the Beginning...Genesis...The next 14 days we will walk through this first book of the Bible together and seek God like never before. I'm praying he will show us something new each day in our daily scripture reading. Praying that the scriptures would come alive.

   So today we begin in Genesis Chapter 1 thru Chapter 4..How will God reveal himself to us....In the beginning.

    We shouldn't start the year with resolutions or pressure to do better. We should start by remembering who God is before we worry about who we're supposed to be.

Before there was light, He was there.

Before there was sin, He was still good.

Before things went wrong, He already had a plan to redeem.

   That's what brings me comfort as we step into a brand new year because some things will feel messy, some unfinished, and some unknown. But the same God who spoke order into chaos is still speaking today. Some of us are entering 2026 full of hope and anticipation and some of us come carrying regret, questions, or places we wish we could rewrite. Genesis reminds us that God is not intimidated by beginnings or by brokenness. He works in both.

So as you read, don't rush it.

Listen. Notice what stands out. Pay attention to how God Moves. Ask Him, What are You showing me about You and about me?

This year doesn't have to be perfect to be purposeful.

It just has to begin with Him.

In the beginning... was God.

And that's a really good place to start.

We're not just reading the beginning of the Bible. We're inviting God into the beginning of this year.

Day 1.

In the beginning...was God.
