You know what I love about Exodus Chapter 2 ?
The man God was going to use to free His people wasn't perfect. God saved Moses. He preserved him. Protected his life from the very beginning. And I love absolutely love the story of Moses mother building him a tiny ark and releasing him into the river and into the hands of God. I've spoke alot of messages on that but Moses grew up and the story doesn't end there. That was just the beginning.
Moses grew up and made a huge mistake. Stop for a min, because we can all relate here. We've all made mistakes in our youth and even after we thought we were Grown right...Well Moses did too. He reacted in anger. He killed a man, and then he did what most people would do....He ran in fear.
V And yet God didn't write him off. God didn't say, Well, I had a plan, but you messed it up. God didn’t replace him or withdraw the calling. Moses ran away, but God didn't. Another stop and think moment...How many times have you ran away from God? Too many to count for some of us..but we did..But did you know God was still there? He never left your side, he may have stayed quiet for a moment but he was there.
He let Moses sit in the quiet. He Let him learn and he Let him grow. Because God knew what was coming and he knew Moses needed this time to prepare. And when the time was right, God called him back.
That's important....Because it reminds me that failure doesn't cancel calling.Fear doesn't disqualify us. And running doesn't mean God is finished. And boy am I thankful for that because I’ve been afraid, I've ran alot..but he never gave up on me.
Sometimes it just means there's more shaping to do.
And somehow,in the middle of our mess, God still uses us. Not because we're perfect, but because He is a faithful God. So stop wallowing in your past and allowing it to keep you from what God has called you to do...God is calling you out of Midian and back to Egypt...
