"Speak Life"
5 days ago we had a power outage in town. Most of the county was without power for several hours. No big deal but we had an incubator full of eggs. We knew the chicken eggs weren't fertile but the little quail eggs were. So we decided to start over an accept the loss...But this morning, against all odds, this little guy broke free from his little shell.
And as I held this little baby in my hands I felt God so clearly speak, " I breathe life into what others left for dead"
Have you been there? Have you been counted out and left for dead by others? Have you been considered an acceptable loss?
Or maybe you had a dream, maybe God gave you a vision and after all these years you've walked away and left it for dead.
Nothing is so far Gone that God cannot breathe life into it! Your life, your calling your purpose for living is not done. Lazarus was dead and 4 days later came forth alive when Jesus called his name.
Is he calling your name? Can you hear him? He's speaking life into the very places you thought were done. Those dreams you've mourned and buried...He's calling them forth... Start digging!!!! He's speaking life!
I wrote this two years ago. Back then it was about a quail egg I thought was lost when the power went out. We accepted it as an acceptable loss and then life broke through anyway.Reading Genesis 29–32 now, I see how much this mirrors Jacob’s story. Years of working. Waiting. Being overlooked. Carrying a promise that didn't seem to be producing anything yet. Nothing looked dead but nothing looked alive either. Just hidden. Incubating.
Then Jacob wrestles with God. And God doesn't scold him or dismiss him, He renames him. Breathes life into a man who thought he'd missed it.
Some things we've labeled "over" are just waiting on God’s timing. Waiting on His voice.
If He could breathe life into Jacob after all those years, if He could call Lazarus out of the grave, He can breathe life into you, your calling, and those dreams you quietly buried.
If you hear Him calling don’t ignore it.
Something is still alive.
And it's time to let it break free.
